My concern is that in something like one year dust will enter the laptop and go to the heat sink and then the temperature might reach the 100 limit. I tried to put it on a cooling pad, and the diference isn't much, at most 5 degrees celsius so it goes to a maximum 90. I mean, it pretty stupid that a laptop it's limited by it's cooling capabilities and not by it's hardware when coming to performance. And yes, it's strange that a core i7 and 8gb ram and gt525 aren't for games (considering that te i7 on the n5110 is 6 times better (benchmark score) than my old intel core 2 duo inspiron 1520. Please answer my questions, it woul help be a lot. So, which one is better ?Īlso, does the Dell default warranty support hardware failures related to overheating ? with my 1520 i had the first oone, which was good but i think brings a lot more dust into the laptop that cooling pad that blows air away from the laptop. I couldn't find this information in any datasheets, so please help.Īlso, about a coolong pad, which one is better, one that blows air towards the laptop, or one that blows air away from the laptop. Maybe because it has a core i7 the temperature is higher and maybe dell made n5110 to support such temperatures. So, are the temperatures for n5110 normal ? or will they hurt the laptop. The fan starts somewhere around 55-60 whereas with the n5110 it starts at over 70. I also have an older inspiron 1520 and it's temperatures are lower, in idle 45-50, in full load, cores no more than 80, GPU no more than 70. With speed fan, in idle, the gpu and cores have about 60-65 degrees celsius and in full load the temperature goes to 92 degrees celsius, no cooling pad used. I need to know what are the normal operating temperatures of this laptop. A few days ago I bought an Inspiron N5110, with core i7, 8GB RAM and a Geforce GT 525m.
